SAGAPONACK SCHOOL NEWS

                                            October 31, 2011

A community member has donated funds to sponsor four children of the Sagaponack student's choice. The students have chosen two girls and two boys to sponsor. Two of the children are from the United States, one child is from the Philippines and the other child is from Mali. This will be an enriching year long project that the children are looking forward to.

The students "haunted" Sagaponack Village for Halloween in a parade with full costumes. They visited community member's homes and were treated to the "Annual Piñata," hosted by the Post Master and her staff at the Sagaponack Post Office. Fun was had by all!

The children have completed the first of three books that they work on during the school year. All students wrote and illustrated their fictional book last week.

A look ahead:

We will hold Parent Teacher Conference on Wednesday, November 9th and Thursday, November 10th. Students will have early dismissal on the 9th and there will not me classes on the 10th. In honor of Veteran's Day, school will be closed on Friday, November 11th. Classes will resume on Monday, November 14th.

The next scheduled Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, November 8th @ 7:00 p.m.
